To do list: 1. Inspiration

I have to search for some creative journals and diaries to get some inspiration. My complaint: I don't have the time to seat and think creatively. Everything goes so fast. I also would like to get some ideas from people. Brainstorm. You're never as good alone as in a group. Hopefully tonight will help me do that.

I could organize my diary in different sections:
Family and friends (dynamics, emotions, thoughts, needs, etc),
Community (what I see in the street, the news/events--for exampe there was a rape two weeks ago near where I live and a guy a week ago really scared me by playing a bit of hide and seek with me while walking the dog late and that made me ponder about violence subjected on women),
Art (my own) or do something around an artist I like,
Ideas of businesses,
My own visual identity (cards, website, ...) for a potential future business.

I am thinking of it as an exhibition. I could have different types of supports/medias and forms of presentations. I'd love to have a sculpture, painting, design, video, music, photography.

Ideally I'd like to work with someone who has great writing skills so that my messages are more powerful, poetic and straight to the point.

Ciel! Ma classe de silk screening!

Tomorrow is my silk screning class. It gives me anxiety: I am behind! I chose to do in the first two classes something difficult in silk screening -photography- and I messed up. F@%&! I hate to b behind.

I thought about quitting. I don't like that. Quitting.

So here is what I'll try to do in the next few weeks. Take a previous design. Improved. Only 2 colors. Flat. Hopefully it will be easier. And I'll try not to be bothered by the uncooperative and unfriendly group of people attending the class.

Tatoo

This is Ivy's Tatoo. My dentist. Who does ballroom dancing. And who I went to see performing last Saturday at the Crown Plaze, Time Square with the girls. it's on her back from the neck to the butt.
Ivy has been struck by several unfortunate events but she has always been keeping a strong appetite for life.
She amazes me.

A poet in the family

Iliade wrote poems compiled in a book called "Cherry Topped Poems".
She has been struggling with writing for years... Never liked reading. Is even on the dyslexic side. So you can imagine how happily surprised we were when she presented us with her book of poems. I was in awe in front of her poetic writing. Inspired by her talent, I decided to do a book cover for her project. I'll do a design with one of her poem.

NB: I'll add new cover versions as my inspiration flows.

Silver medal in Karate for Mila today. She wasn't overly happy with it. Wished she could have the gold medal. She is so hard on herself.

This a picture of mine that I rework on photoshop. I usually don't use photoshop for my pix because I want to keep them as "natural" as I can. But here it was fun working on it. And I need to change regularly the way I do things. it keeps me more creative.
